Whispers of Sunken Forest is a research based audio project in collaboration with Yeseul Song, documenting the sounds of Sunken Forest, on Fire Island, NY.
Currently on view at Wavehill until September 1, 2025, the soundwalk is paired with narration educating listeners about this endangered environment. Enriched by the unique soundscape of this rare maritime holly forest (1 of 2 in the world), we hope that this project raises awareness about this hidden gem just beyond the outer orbit of New York City.
